What question would you liked to be asked each day?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for May 22, 2009:

Observe
What are you looking at?

You see it's our focus that shapes our lives.  Am I observing that which I desire?
Perception is not passive !! It's an act of creation.  In that I create my life by what
I choose to give my attention to.... what are you looking at?  Are you looing at
problems or solutions. If your observing the problem you are not working on a
solution. What we focus on expands.  Energy flows where attention goes....

Every thought, idea, & dream has duality and it's my choice to look on the bright side or
to look towards the negative.  Both direction are endless and no matter what I choose I will find evidence to support my decision.   This is the way the mind works.

What about you?

Are you beating the drum of your problems or solutions?  Are you looking at the pain or joy in life?  Do you play the victim?  You can change everything by looking at something more pleasing in your life... what you focus on expands.  It has no choice.

Interesting Story

Posted on Apr 26th, 2009 by Nightphoenix : Blessed Soul Nightphoenix

His name was Milarepa and he was a murderer. The start of this yogi’s life was marred by violence, hatred and revenge. But mention his name to any Tibetan and their eyes will well up with tears of devotion and joy. For this is a story about change. This is a man who recognized his flaws and mistakes and turned his life around. This is a man who became the greatest yogi the world has ever seen.

Milarepa Quote: “When you run after your thoughts, you are like a dog chasing a stick: every time a stick is thrown, you run after it. Instead, be like a lion who, rather than chasing after the stick, turns to face the thrower. One only throws a stick at a lion once.”

Milarepa is mentioned is Greg Braden's book
The Spontaneous Healing of Belief

The grandfather responded

Posted on Apr 14th, 2009 by Nightphoenix : Blessed Soul Nightphoenix

A grandfather was talking to his grandson, telling him, I have two wolves barking inside of me. The first wolf is filled with anger, hatred, bitterness, and mostly revenge. The second wolf inside of me is filled with love, kindness, compassion, and mostly forgiveness. Which wolf do you think will win? The young boy inquired. The grandfather responded, “Whichever one I feed.”

In what area of your life might you like someone to help you?

Posted on Apr 11th, 2009 by Nightphoenix : Blessed Soul Nightphoenix
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for April 11, 2009:

I can easily change myself but I can't change you. I need your help to do this.  Do you want to change? Are you tired of being depressed or sad?

Tonight when your drifting off to sleep instead of thinking about problems please think about the solutions.

I know it seems like a simple request but it's my belief that if we shift the focus of the world away from problems unto the solutions we will find more solutions.  If you look at the problems it's only natural to find more problems.  We find what we seek in every area of our lives.  I scanned other responses to this question. I saw many people looking at problems whereas they looked directly at their lack and said please help me with this thing that I don't have and what I would like for them to hear is by looking at what you don't have you instantly create more of what you don't have...

If you look around your room right now for the color brown you will find it some place.
In fact if you continue to look for this color you will find it everywhere.  Your thoughts
after a period of time will be tainted by this color.  Other colors will soon follow the brown and you might even confuse dark yellows and light blacks with brown.  This is the nature of the human mind.  You find evidence to back up your desire and you find more of what you are seeking.  Now if you change this to a thought such as gratitude then that thought will be everywhere like the color.  People will shift before your very eyes.  You will tell the world that you can't believe how those people have changed but in reality you changed.  Change your thoughts and you change the world.

I think of this as spiritual but you don't have to -- you can look at this as the way the brain works because what you focus on you find more of .  The brain is an amazing thing that is capable of processing thought at a rate that no computer on earth can match.  What you think about right before you drift off to sleep is what you will marinade in for 8 hours.  the brain will give you more of it because the brain doesn't really understand no, not, don't or won't but rather it only knows what you focus on....

Today you can start to live a purpose driven life.  To do this simply focus on what you want and stop focusing on your problems.  Then you will live the purpose driven life.

What are you waiting for?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for April 06, 2009:

Life is like a brilliant canvas where we start fresh everyday by painting our lives with whatever we desire -- today I am waiting for the sun;  while at the same time enjoying what's left of early twilight.... waiting helps by bringing additional value to something that until focused upon has no value at all -- it's just one of our many paints we have at our disposal.  I am waiting because it helps paint my world.  Today lets be thankful for these paints in our lives and even some paints we don't have names for -- The color is amazing don't you think?
